Preparing your wedding photographs and film: chuppah to celebration

Beautiful images benefit from a little preparation and room for the unexpected. Plan the essential moments, share information with your suppliers, then enjoy your wedding. Here is what we can prepare before the day.

Getting ready and couple portraits

Tell me where you will get ready and whether several locations are involved. Gather any details you would like photographed, such as outfits, rings and gifts. Make a realistic window for portraits, allowing for travel and the ceremony.

Time to breathe leaves room for natural expressions and gestures. Show me images you enjoy, and we can plan an approach that suits you and your location.

The chuppah: words and reactions

Share the ceremony sequence, access and venue instructions. Tell me which moments you want in the film. Photographs tell the ceremony’s story; sound brings back its words and atmosphere.

Prepare a short family-photo list and choose someone who knows the relatives involved. That helps gather the right people while leaving time to enjoy the reception.

Coordinate the venue, DJ, decor and planner

Ask when the venue and decoration will be ready. If you want photographs before guests arrive, include that window in the schedule. The DJ and wedding planner, if you have one, can share timings for entrances, speeches and surprises.

Tell the photography team about an important performance before it starts. The key is knowing when planned moments will happen.

Drone footage, photo magnets and AI sequences

Drone footage can show the setting from another perspective, subject to location, weather and flight possibilities. Keep essential moments covered from the ground too.

Mention photo magnets in your enquiry. If you enjoy AI, we can imagine a creative sequence together. Discuss its style and options before editing begins.

Plan what you will share afterwards

Consider how you want to use each deliverable: photographs with family, a wedding film and a short Instagram clip. Specify the formats you are interested in so the proposal can include them.
